HOME REMEDIES TO GET RID OF DARK UNDERARMS
There is nothing more unsightly than dark armpits, with spots. So much so that we avoid wearing sleeveless clothes or raising our arms. The armpits can get dark for different reasons and the accumulation of dead cells may be one of those reasons why our armpits look darker. However, the good news is that there are several home remedies to reverse this situation.
Dark Armpits: what to know
The armpits can be stained for different reasons, from an inadequate cleaning to an excess of sweat, through the accumulation of dead cells, friction with clothes, very tight or lint-free clothes, waxing or other products, deodorants that contain alcohol or a skin predisposition. It can also be due to excess sun, hormonal problems or lack of hydration and dryness. The truth is that it is very embarrassing to “walk through life” with stained armpits, especially at a party or social event.
TIPS TO PREVENT UNDERARMS FROM GETTING STAINED:
Do not use a shaver to shave: when we do not have much time available we resort to this option while we bathe, for example. However, unlike other methods, it will make the armpits darker and darker. Some women, on the other hand, use wax to produce this effect, especially those with very white skin.
Avoid using a lot of deodorant or antiperspirant: one of the “tasks” of these products is to prevent the skin breathe properly, as well as sweating or perspiration occurs. The pores become clogged and the impurities become dark spots. Surely you have noticed that every time you have more odor in your armpits and that only “cover” by placing more deodorant, the reason is why it has just been explained. So, try to use as little as possible and prefer to sanitize yourself with water and neutral soap or perfume.
Wash the armpits regularly: preferably every day or more than once when it’s hot or you exercise.
Use cotton clothes: especially during the summer, to avoid excessive sweating and prevent underarm stains (as well as a lot of perspiration)
Avoid hair removal creams: their regular use helps darken the armpits.
Try not to irritate the area: when you have also dark color in the armpits, scaly skin, itching, rashes or more smell than usual, may be due to a bacterial infection or allergy. Consult a dermatologist.
HOME REMEDIES FOR UNDERARM WHITENING
Yogurt: yogurt is one of the best natural remedies to eliminate underarm spots. Apply before you bathe a spoonful in each one and let it act for 20 minutes, then rinse with plenty of warm water. Repeat this process daily for at least a week.
Pumice stone: while you are bathing, spend a few minutes to the health and beauty of your armpits. Frost them gently with a pumice stone for two minutes, once a week. This will help you remove dead skin and make the armpits look beautiful always.
Lemon: has the same properties as pumice stone, and also to lighten stains. It also offers a fresh appearance to the armpits. Rub half a lemon in each one every day until the dark goes away, always before bathing. Pass with circular movements, let it act for 15 minutes. The citric acid that the lemon has will make “matabacteria” and it will also whiten the skin naturally.
